Local IT Support & Computer Repairs in Edgware

Edgware, Burnt Oak and Mill Hill

Edgware sits inside our free call-out ring, so there is no travel charge and the £15 booking deposit comes off the repair bill in full. The area covers HA8 through Edgware town centre, Burnt Oak and Canons Park, NW7 for Mill Hill, and NW9 for Colindale and Kingsbury.

Parking is controlled around the station and the Broadwalk end of the High Street; residential Canons Park, Mill Hill and the Watling estate streets mostly are not. Tell us the street when you book and we will know before we arrive.

Two housing stocks, three postcodes

Edgware grew when the Underground reached it in the 1920s, and most of what was built then is still here — 1930s semis around the station and the Watling estate in Burnt Oak, one of the large interwar cottage estates. Solid or early cavity brick, small rooms, and a master socket by the front door. The signal problem in these houses is depth, not distance: it is the number of walls between the router and the back bedroom, not the size of the plot.

Then there is Colindale, which is a different job entirely. The regeneration there has put up thousands of flats in the last fifteen years, and a new-build flat brings its own set: a developer-fitted router in a service cupboard, concrete floors that block anything vertical, and a building-wide network that a tenant cannot reconfigure. The fix is usually moving the access point rather than replacing it, and knowing which parts of the setup the freeholder controls.

We work on both, and the diagnosis differs on arrival — which is why we ask what kind of building it is when you book, rather than turning up with the wrong assumption.
